Last week it was a high SWR on the beam, today my 6-BTV vertical started acting up with a high SWR on a number of bands, particularly 40 and 80 meters. All bands would be fine one moment, and the next show a high SWR. This ended up being a bad cable feeding my RF choke coil outside next to the antenna. The 40 and 80 problem was a loose connection at the 40 meter part of the radiator. After a few tweaks and replacing the no longer required extension wire to the coil, we’re back solid again on the 6BTV.
